This chapter contains sensitive material! I don't think it's enough to where I need to put a filter, but you HAVE been warned!!!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You and Jack now walk into your room, exhausted from the party; as soon as you and Jack landed on the ground, you announced that you were gonna get some shut eye. You took off your skates and started to head back, but after you had taken them off, the winter dress grew back to its original form, even putting your ice heels back on your feet. Jack had noticed your exhaustion and offered to walk you back, much to Bunny’s disapproval.
You let out an exhausted sigh and collapse on your bed, letting its fluffy texture comfort you; Jack gently lies next to you and stares into your bright (e/c) eyes, “You really look beautiful in that dress…” he said, giving you a warm smile.
You smile back and giggle, “Thanks…it’s amazing….did you even know?”
He shook his head, “No…I didn’t….I knew what the ice could do, but I didn’t think…” his voice wonders off.
“Huh…interesting….but I guess it doesn’t matter…” you say, getting up and heading towards the window and gazing out at the starry night.
Jack follows after you and gives you a hug from behind, “You look like a winter spirit…” he muses, “I’m glad you had a lot of fun tonight.”
You face him, your face glowing brightly, “Thank you Jack…I’ve never had so much fun before…”
He pulls you in closer and brings his forehead, “It’s what I’m here for…I want to make you happy in every way that I can…because it makes me happy too…”
He pulls you into a gentle kiss and you lean into him immediately. It wasn’t as deep or as passionate a kiss as the several others before, but it was still something that you couldn’t pull away from and regret whenever it ended. You stand there kissing him for about a minute, before a voice starts whispering in your ear.
“(y/n)….” It whispers, but you wave it away and focus on Jack.
“(y/n)….(y/n)….(y/n)….” It whispers again a little louder, but you still wave it away.
“Snowflake….”
You stop kissing Jack and stare at him curiously, “What is it?” you ask.
Jack still has his eyes closed from the kiss, “Why are you kissing me?” he asked.
You stare at him, shocked, “You…you kissed me…what are you saying-”
“Why would you think I would wanna kiss you?” You stare at him blankly, not sure what to think; the weird voice sounds around you again; but this time you seem to recognize it faintly.
“He doesn’t care for you….he doesn’t mean what he said…about you being the best thing in the world…”
You shake your head a little, trying to identify the weird voice; you walk away from Jack and the window and head for your bed. As soon as you approach the bed, Jack’s hand grabs your wrist gently and you turn to face him; he seems to be looking down at his feet, which you find odd.
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
“I…I don’t know…”
“He’s going to leave you one day….forget about you….like you never existed….”
You bring your hand to your head and hold it there; it was starting to ach terribly with the voice, but you had no idea why, “I think…I think I just have a little headache all of a sudden…”
You sit down on the bed as the voice continues, “Why do you even bother….you know deep in your heart that you and he can’t be….”
You cringe more as the voice echoes through your head still, “(y/n)?” Jack asks.
“Jack….my head really hurts…could you please-” you look up into his eyes and let out an ear-piercing scream, scrambling away from him, and falling off the other side of the bed. You quickly get up and back away slowly, not taking your eyes off of him. Jack smiled wickedly and began to walk towards you again.
“What’s the matter Snowflake? Afraid of something?” the voice spoke through Jack’s mouth as he pinned you against the wall, you trembling with fear.
“Go away! Get away from me!” you scream at him trying desperately to push him away; but he pins your arms to the wall and leans closer to you. You look away to avoid his gaze, desperately trying not to look into them.
He uses one of his hands to snap you head around to face him, giving you a crick in your neck, “Look at me when I’m talking to you!” he yelled, shaking your head violently.
Slowly, with tears in your eyes, you gaze up into the sickly yellow eyes that have taken their place in Jack’s head.
(y/n)’s scream echoes through the room, making Jack cringe with surprise. You quickly scramble away from him and fall off the bed, but then scramble back up to face him once again.
Worry spreads through Jack’s icy blue eyes as he begins to approach you, “(y/n)? What’s wrong? Are you ok?!”
You backed up into the wall and Jack stood in front of you, fear starting to grow in his stomach, “Go away!” you scream, “Get away from me!”
Jack is now utterly confused; you start to try and hit him, but he pins your arms to the wall to get you to stop, “What’s wrong?! What is it!?”
You look away, terrified and begin to whimper; Jack uses his other hand to make you head turn towards him, “Please! Tell me what’s wrong! I won’t hurt you!”
Slowly, your eyes filled with tears, you look up into Jack’s icy blue gaze; his eyes starting to fill with tears when he sees how afraid you are.
“I never liked you! Why would you think I ever liked you?!” Jack said to you with an evil grin, “Why would you think I would want to spend my entire life with you?! I’m a spirit! You’re a pathetic human! There’s a big difference there!”
You begin to cry uncontrollably, trying to leave his grasp, “Stop it! Stop it please! What did I ever do to you?! You said you loved me!!!”
His wicked laugh echoes through the room, making you flinch and whimper more, “Love you? How could I ever love someone like you?!”
“Stop it Jack! You don’t mean it! You can’t mean it!”
“But I do mean it! I mean it with all my heart! I don’t like you! I never liked you! I actually HATE you!!!!”
Your heart breaks into thousands of pieces, and you scream again, but this time in anger and fear. You kick him hard in the stomach, making him loosen his grip on you, and bolt out the door; leaving a very dark and angry Jack behind in your room.
“(y/n) please! I love you! I can help you! Tell me what’s wrong!!!” Jack begged, tears starting to leak out of his eyes, “I want to make you happy! I want to spend my life with you! I know that I’m a spirit and you’re a human, but that doesn’t matter! I’ll find a way for you to be with me! Is that what you’re afraid of?”
You begin to cry uncontrollably, and Jack’s heart twists, ‘What’s wrong!? Just tell me, please!’ he thought.
You struggle against Jack’s grip, “Stop it! Stop it please! What did I ever do to you?! You said you loved me!!!” she screamed, more tears running down your cheeks.
Jack couldn’t believe his ears, ‘Can she even hear what I’m saying?’ he thought, “I do love you! I’ll always love you!”
“Stop it Jack! You don’t mean it! You can’t mean it!”
Jack’s heart twists even more, “But I do mean it! I mean it with all my heart! How can you say this?! You know I love you! I’ll never leave you! I’ll always be here for you! Why are you saying these things?!” Jack’s voice begins to strain with anger. Why were you saying all this? Could you not hear him? Jack was becoming more fearful by the second; he knew something was wrong; you would never say these things, not without a reason at least!
You scream again, and you kicked him hard in the stomach. His grip loosened and you bolted out the door, crying and screaming loudly.  Jack grunted and got up, recovering from the blow fast; he quickly grabbed his staff and flew after you.
You ran as fast as you could down the hall, crying sadly and painfully. Why was he saying all of those things!? He would never say all of those things! You never believed he would say all of those things…and those eyes….where did those come from?! You’ve seen them somewhere before…where though….WHERE?! Then it hit you….
PITCH!!!!! Pitch was controlling Jack! He was trying to scare you; but how could you say this to him? Jack was under Pitches control…he wouldn’t listen to you! Your only option was to run, run and find the guardians. They could help you! They could fix Jack! You continued down the corridor, desperately hoping that you would come across them.
(Author’s note: This next part will be like a third person reading)
Jack flew after you down the corridor, your crying echoing loudly throughout the walls. ‘I have to get to her, help her understand! She has to believe me!’ He quickly approaches you from behind and calls to you.
“(y/n)! Please! Stop!” he tries to wrap his hand around your wrist.
“NO!” you scream at him, not wanting to gaze into the yellow eyes that only you could see, “You can’t fool me! Get away!”
You turn to your left sharply and bolt through another door, leaving Jack to circle back around and follow you, “STOP (Y/N)!!!!! PLEASE!!!!”
“You can’t run away from me! I’ll never stop following you! Haunting you! I’ll never leave you alone! I’ll never let you forget that I never loved you!” Pitches voice rang from Jack’s mouth.
“LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!!” you scream.
“PLEASE! LET ME TALK TO YOU!” Jack screamed, but you bolted through another door again, and Jack flew by it once more.
“I have to get away from him! I can’t let him catch me!” you think desperately of a plan to escape him. You had a good lead, but whenever you looked back, he was still trying to catch up to you; his yellow eyes tearing through your soul and his grin making your heart rip to pieces. In reality, Jack’s blue gaze was filled with worry and fear, and a desperate look was set on his face.
“I have to make her understand that I’m here to help her! I don’t know what got into her….but I’m going to get rid of it!” he thought.
Your dress was beginning to weigh you down; you had to hold it up so it wouldn’t get in the way of your pumping legs, your cloak kept catching on things and tearing as you continued to run, your shoes made your feet hurt badly and you begin to wonder if they’ll break under so much pressure; but you don’t let that stop you from escaping!
“That’s it!” Jack’s voice shouted, he summoned a big gust of wind that propelled him down the corridor, blocking your path, “STOP NOW! PLEASE!!!!”
You look up at him, his blue gaze cracked from crying and his face wet with tears, he holds out his hand for you to take; but you don’t see that. You see his dark yellow eyes staring through your soul and his outstretched hand swirling with black sand; he’s grinning evilly.
“You can’t escape me! You never will!!!”
“NO!!!!!” you scream one final time and bolt through another door just inches away from his outstretched hand, and lock it behind you.
“NO!” Jack yells, as he pounds fiercely on the door, “LET ME IN (Y/N)!!!! PLEASE!!!! I PROMISE I WON’T HURT YOU!!!!”
You slowly back away from the door, panting in fear as you hear Pitch’s voice call to you, “YOU CAN’T HIDE FROM ME!!!! YOU CAN NEVER HIDE FROM FEAR!!!! OPEN THE DOOR!!!!”
“NO! I WON’T” you yell back at him.
Jack stops pounding on the door and leans heavily on it, his heart beginning to break from all your resistance against him….how could he help you if you refused to let him? He slowly sinks to the floor and begins to cry softly.
You breathe heavily too, your heart filled with cracks; so many of them, that if even a tiny one appeared it would shatter into dust, completely broken and unrepairable. You slowly sink to the floor, curling up in a fetal position as you begin to let the tears flow out of your eyes.
Jack then gets up, determination now blazing in his eyes, and he begins to freeze the doorknob of the locked door, “I’m going to help you (y/n)! Whether you want it or not!”
You hear the ice starting to form on the door and quickly begin to panic, “I’m going to get to you (y/n)! Whether you like it or not!”
You stand up quickly and look around the room, and realize you’re trapped! There were no other doors leading out and only a single window was in the entire room. You run to it desperately and open it, a cold and strong gust of wind surging through it. A terrible blizzard was swirling outside and you couldn’t see beyond 10 feet; you’re on the second story of the workshop, and it was a good 20 foot drop! The ice was forming quicker now, soon Jack would be inside! You had no other option now…
Jack bolted through the door, panting hard from breaking the lock, and scanned the room, not seeing you anywhere; then his eyes laid upon the open window…
“NO!” he exclaimed, running to it. The storm was terrible, the wind buffeted his face and snowflakes blinded his eyes, “What are you THINKING?!” He quickly flew out the window and began to search for you.
The wind was so strong and the snow blinded your eyes, but you kept going, you couldn’t turn back now…you couldn’t fall into Pitch’s hands…you just couldn’t….
The wind roared in your ears, making a terrible noise that pounded your eardrums, the snow came up to your knees and chilled you to the bone, sometime ago, your shoes had slipped off your feet and you were now barefoot; but you continued to trudge on, not caring about the cold that surrounded you.
You grunted against the storm, doing your best to keep going, but you would sometimes tumble into the snow as the wind continued to push you around.
“I’m not going to quit that easily….” You mumble, getting up again.
“You really think you can escape fear?! You can never escape it! It dwells deep within you!”
“Shut up!!!!”
“The fear of him leaving you….” he chuckles a bit “…such a wonderful fear….but I understand why you have it…he’ll have to leave you eventually…he can’t stay with you forever…..”
“I said….SHUT UP!!!!” you scream.
You look up at the sky and faintly see the moon; you remember Jack saying that he was the first guardian…and the one that watches over the children 24/7 while the guardians were busy with other things.
“Please…” you whimper, “help me…make him go away…”
You tumble into the snow again, but this time you don’t attempt to get up; you cry softly as you hold your broken heart, and accept the terrible fear that has now overtaken your strength.
Then, a faint light makes you open your eyes, and you see a sliver of moonlight illuminating a rickety old shed. Quickly, you get up and run to it, letting it shelter you from the terrible storm outside and your fear deep within you.
Jack frantically flies around in the storm, desperately calling your name, and hoping that he will see you against the blinding white. He tried to see if he could control the storm, but the weather here was magical, and only responded to him when it wanted to listen; which was, not at that time.
“(Y/N)!” he yelled over the howling wind, “WHERE ARE YOU?!”
Jack continued to fly frantically, not caring that his vision and hearing were limited, he was determined to find you! The full moon faintly shined through the storm, making Jack look up.
“Please….” He begged, “Can you help me find her?!”
He waited for an answer while the wind continued to buffet his face, and send chills up his already cold spine. When he was about to turn away and fly some more, the moon shined a ray down onto an old, rickety shed. Jack quickly flew down to the entrance and peered inside; his eyes grew wide when he saw you, barefoot, and curled up, crying…
“(y/n)!” he exclaimed, running over to your side and holding you in his arms.
You felt Jack’s arms around you and flinched, “No….please….” you beg, not wanting to look up into the terrible eyes that only you could see.
“(y/n)…” he said, “Please….look at me….I won’t hurt you….I promise….”
“Please….go….leave me alone….don’t break my heart any more….I won’t be angry at you….”
“What?! What are you talking about?! I would never leave you!”
You slowly open your eyes, but still don’t look at him, “What? But…you said….you said that you….” You whip your head around and look in his eyes and almost cry with relief. They were the icy blue kind ones that you knew and loved!
“JACK!” you exclaim and pull him into a tight hug, crying heavily into his shoulder.
He arms tighten around you and hold you close, “Shhhh….it’s okay Snowflake…..I’m here now….nothing’s gonna happen to you….it’s okay…..” he soothed.
You continued to cry into his shoulder, but still manage to talk, “Jack….please….make him go away…” you beg.
“What?”
“Make him go away…. make him go away…. make him go away….” You continue; he didn’t seem to know that you were referring to Pitch.
“Make who go away Snowflake?”
“Oh Jack…I’m surprised you haven’t figured it out by now…” a sly, evil voice echoed off the walls of the shack.
Jack stiffened and held you closer, looking up and around the shed, “Why did you think she was running away from you like that? You’re smart enough to know that she loves you….or are you?”
“What are you doing here?! LEAVE NOW!!!”
Pitch’s chuckle echoes loudly, almost as if you were in a cave rather than a shed, “You can’t get rid of me that easily Jack…I feed off of fear…and the two of you have lots of it!”
“The fear of losing each other…so sweet…yet so pathetic….do you not know how much fear your precious Snowflake holds in her heart?”
“What…do you mean?”
“Hoho Jack! Do you not realize this?! She’s a human and you’re a spirit! You will live for centuries to come; while she will wither and die away like every human does eventually! That….or you will forget about her, or the other way around! She’ll stop believing in you eventually when she realizes that she needs to grow up and forget all this nonsense…”
“NO! You’re wrong! She would NEVER forget about me!!!”
“Whether she forgets or not…she will eventually die….”
Jack refuses to listen, and buries his face in your windblown (h/c) hair, cold tears leaking from his eyes.
“Hard to except now….isn’t it….” Pitch taunted, chuckling amusingly.
You were crying into Jack’s shoulder the entire time, but you heard every word said, “Leave us alone! No one wants you around!” you hiss, daring to look up and around.
Pitches voice snakes around the two of you and you clutch Jack, “Talk all you want! But you can’t escape fear! It will NEVER go away! It will come back and haunt you….FOREVER!”
You hide your face again as more tears slide out of your reddening (e/c) eyes.
“And Jack….love may seem like the best thing to you…..but it can be just as cold and dark as fear itself….”
And with that, Pitch leaves the two lovers in the rickety shed, clutching each other fearfully as Pitch’s words still hang in the air…..
Wow...I honestly don't know what to say about this chapter.....it's what I was aiming for...but I don't know what to say....
Tell me what you think :)
Oh...you MUST MUST MUST listen to "Sorcery," "Summit Siege," and "Whiteout" from the "Frozen soundtrack" while reading this...I did that while writing, and it REALLY helped with the mood of this chapter! :D
You don't have to....but I think it's a really good idea
